The typical C.N.A. work day has 3 shifts: 7-3, 3-11 and 11-7.
As I talk with more families and staff during our movement towards culture change it seems to me that this isn't the best model. Mornings and evenings are hectic and midday is very, very slow. In addition, communication between shifts is lacking because everyone is always in a hurry to go home.
I was curious if anyone else has noticed this or has come up with a different model, overlapping of day shifts or otherwise?
