This individual will provide clerical support to the Medical Records Library, Data Entry/Filing area, Assistant Director and Chief Information Officer including, but not limited to: data entry, filing worksheets, answering telephones related to provider inquiries, scheduling appointments and meetings, distribution and flow of mail, maintaining monthly activities calendar, and coordinating activities within Information System. Will performs data entry functions for timely Medical Records receipt to include initial chart receipt, intermediate case tracking, to final destruction of the records. Matches readmissions, transfers case, identifies and processes missing documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a professional, positive demeanor when interacting with internal and external clients.
Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to apply those skills in carrying out work assignments.
Must possess good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
Computer proficiency in MS Word. Some experience with Excel preferred.
Ability to learn and use other IPRO systems including, but not limited to: IPRO7 and SDPS.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Some college or secretarial school (with focus on medical terminology) is preferred.
