The site also includes risk-adjusted data on surgical outcomes of adult cardiac bypass and valve surgery, angioplasty procedures, and pediatric heart surgery.

Consumers are able to review data by health condition, surgical procedure or special designation -- stroke or burn centers, for example. They can compare hospitals within a region or county, or choose a hospital through a search feature.

Data on the site will be updated quarterly. Other quality measures and consumer information, including hospital-acquired infection rates and results of patient satisfaction surveys, will be added over time.
