IPRO would like to extend an invitation for you and your hospital staff to join our next conference call of the JENY Statewide Collaborative taking place on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on the topic of "SPREAD". The call-in number for this session is 1-800-236-9788, and our featured speaker will be Dr. Donna Daniel, of Qualis Health. Please be sure to reference IPRO when you do call in.

Have you thought about how you will make the most of your improvements in your hospital? Dr. Daniel, will talk about making the most of your quality improvement efforts by spreading them past your Collaborative pilot to the entire population of interest and other populations within your hospital. Spread occurs naturally at an often leisurely pace, but can be planned to occur at a more accelerated rate. Dr. Daniel will also discuss how to plan spread by looking at selecting ideas to spread, set-up for spread, leadership's role, aspects of the social system of spread and measurement of spread. Practical ideas and tools will be presented for your use.

Materials for the call are forthcoming and will be posted on here on JENY.

We encourage as many of your staff as possible to participate since we anticipate very interesting and relevant discussion on both of this important topic that will benefit your organization's quality improvement efforts. The slides look good, however, it would be helpful if they were set up to print out as handouts. Currently it appears this will be over 60 pages printed out and copied for those who could not attend. Thank you. Diana

Hi Diane,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Here is a suggestion you may want to try in order to decrease the number of pages for the presentation materials. After you click on the print prompt, click on the "Properties" button to your right. Next go to the box labeled "Document Options" and click on the upward arrow until you reach the desired number of pages per sheet.

Please let us know if this works better for you or if we can suggest another alternative.
