On this board, we encourage you to share with others the smoking cessation materials that you use and would recommend to others.

Joyce mentioned that at their hospital, they play the Milner-Fenwick "Healthy Heart Series: Guide to Stop Smoking" video. I spoke to Cheryl at Milner-Fenwick (1-800-432-8433, ext. 254), and she said that that video is still available ($127.50), however it has been recently updated. The newer version is:

Victor mentioned that at their hospital, they use the pocket-sized "Treating Nicotine Addiction" guide developed by the Tobacco Control Program at the New York City Department of Health. While I did not find the pocket-version online, I did locate a Newsletter-version. This document is available to be downloaded for free at:

Lenore mentioned that at their hospital's cardiac rehabilitation center they use the "Quit Smart" program.

In addition, she mentioned that she also uses a 31-page self-care handbook called: "Quitting for Life" that was developed by the American Lung Association at http://www.lungusa.org/ and distributed by the Westchester County Department of Health at (914) 813-5000 or at http://www.westchestergov.com/health.
