Stephen Harden is President of LifeWings Partners LLC and co-founder of Crew Training International, Inc. (CTI) the parent company of LifeWings. Harden has been the principal architect of LifeWing’s adaptation of aviation-based Hardwired Safety ToolsSM and practices for healthcare. In the past year he has been responsible for the courseware and training provided to over 12,000 physicians and staff.

Prior to assuming the his position at LifeWings, he was the principal courseware designer of CTI’s Crew Resource Management (CRM) training for the U.S. Air Combat Command, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, Italian Air Force, Swiss Air Force, Belgian Air Force, domestic and commercial airlines, construction crews and hospital surgical teams. He has overseen the production of over 40 separate courses for a wide variety of military and commercial customers. He has also served on the instructional staff of the University of Southern California’s School of Aviation Safety.

While managing the CTI Courseware Development Division, Harden also served as Senior Course Developer for all CRM training programs for Federal Express. At FedEx, he designed, developed and delivered over 12 different comprehensive training courses encompassing over 90 hours of instruction. His expertise in the field of courseware development has garnered him four personal "Bravo Zulu" awards for superior performance and one organizational award for Quality Achievement. Harden was recognized in 1993 by FedEx senior management as the individual that had contributed the most to the safety of FedEx flight operations.

Harden is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He accumulated over 300 aircraft carrier landings during service with the U.S. Navy and was selected to be an instructor pilot at the Navy’s elite Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). He holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating and Type ratings in B-727 and 737 aircraft and is an FAA certified flight examiner.
