The CDC has developed interim recommendations on the use of antiviral medications for the 2004-05 influenza season. According to the CDC, influenza antiviral medications are an important adjunct to influenza vaccine in the prevention and treatment of influenza. The intent of the recommendations is to reduce the impact of influenza on persons at high risk for developing severecomplications secondary to infection.

What is CDC?
But one thing whatever it is but it take an important role to recomendations of the use of antiviral medications for influenza season. If it works properly
then I think influenza can be prevented.
