Craig Ryder, Associate Director of the New York State, Department of Health, Tobacco Control Program announced on the April 20th, 2005 IPRO Smoking Cessation Collaborative Conference Call that the DOH will be continuing the conference call series on the topic of Hospital-based Smoking Cessation.

He announced that the next call will take place on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 from 11:30a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

All New York State hospitals are welcome to participate on this call - call-in number and other details will follow.

It was really interesting to hear the status of the newer drugs and review our old "friends" NRT and Brupropion SR.

I am curious if anyone else has had people mention "an injection to quit smoking" that is "being given to patient's in Florida". They claim it is not a clinical trial and that it costs $500.
