Please join us for our 3rd call of the series "The Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins With a Single Step". The conference call series will provide a comprehensive overview of planning for a Health Information Technology Project. Our goal is to breakdown the process of HIT planning and implementation into simple steps. The calls will promote the exchange of information and the sharing of ideas and best practices between participating hospitals.
The July 24th call will be a well prepared discussion on the Medication Administration implementation at Coney Island Hospital. The second half of our call will be a focused discussion on some very interesting lessons learned from the Kings County Bar Coding implementation.
This call will benefit any hospital who is considering implementing a barcoding project, there are many issues that we would never think of when planning the project, this call focuses on the gotchas... with some recommendations for creating an action plan to deal with them.
