Hello,
I wanted to introduce the group to the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Primary Care Information Project (www.nyc.gov/pcip (http://www.nyc.gov/pcip)), a $27 million Mayoral initiative to improve the quality of care in underserved communities through the use of Health IT.
We have procured over 1,000 licenses to the eClinicalWorks EHR software and are working hard to refine its registry functions (e.g. panel management), quality measurement and reporting, and decision support tools.
We are preparing our first wave of community health centers and small providers (convened by IPRO) for implementation, to begin in September.
We are also establishing a quality improvement program that will provide online and onsite support and technical assistance to help practices with the redesign and business process re-engineering needed to maximize the quality improvement potential of the EHR tools.
I should also mention that we are looking for dedicated, excited professionals to fill the following positions:
Director, Citywide Quality Reporting System
Clinical Coordinator, Quality Improvement Program
Coordinator, Managed Care & Practice Relations
Director, Program Evaluation Unit
If you would like to learn more about job opportunities at the pcip, please feel free to email me at fmostash@health.nyc.gov
If you'd like to learn more about our project, are interested in partnering with us, please send an email to pcip@health.nyc.gov.
Thanks!
